The biker scene has lost its appeal...

Lynch is the Wild Marauders motorcycle club president. The club is his life. His crew are his best mates, he makes heaps of money doing what he loves and he has plenty of sweetbutts to service him. He sees a chick on the side of the road with her car broken down and offers her help which she declines. This chick was hot and stuck in his mind after he left her. Every time he had sex with a sweetbutt after their meeting he pictures her face.

Kat meets a hot biker on the side of the road when her car breaks down. Her boring respectable lawyer boyfriend stays in the car while she gets hit on by the biker. This wakes her up to the fact that her boyfriend is a loser. She breaks up with loser and two weeks later gets dropped at the feet of the biker.

This story has action, suspense and intrigue. Lots of fighting between rival clubs which brings murder and mayhem to the club's door.

There were some pretty hot sexy times between the main characters and an obvious connection between them.

My reasons for the lower rating...I'm over bikers. It doesn't turn me on when they want to have public sex. I'm not impressed that every sentence spoken has at least one swear word, it gets monotonous. I don't like to think these women choose to degrade themselves by offering sex to be able to hang around. I don't think being the President's old lady is something to aspire to, it just puts a target on your back.

I have enjoyed books about motorcycle clubs, but for me they have lost their appeal. Maybe down the track the appeal will come back, but for now it's time for a break.

Has potential

3 stars. I don't mind erotic books, but this is one of those books that I felt the sex scenes really overpowered the story. Maybe that is what the author was going for, however, I was actually really enjoying the plot. I really liked the characters themselves, the buildup to their relationship, all the crazy mc stuff, but all the overdone intimate scenes put a damper on it for me. I found some of the phrasing so over-the-top, it made the scenes seem ridiculous instead of "hot". I'm definitely not saying to get rid of the sex scenes. Just personally, I would prefer them to be turned down a little so the other stuff can shine through more. The action side was good, and I loved the h and H together. Just my preferences.

Read the sample first. Really needed a story line. If insta lust is your thing, you might enjoy this, but was too much for me, and that's saying a lot. I will read most anything.

I learned alot from this book

I've been taking Piano lessons since the beginning of this year. This was the the book my Piano Teacher started me on. I'm an adult who knew nothing and I mean ABSOLUTELY nothing about the Piano.

I knew nothing about where the Middle C is on the Piano or how many notes there are on the Piano. This book taught me how to read the all the notes and how to play them and very quickly too!!!

Did I feel silly learning from this book??? No way... I wanted to learn how to play the Piano and this book got me started.

It's been 7 months and I'm playing pretty good.

Granted I'm no Liberace... but hey I don't mind. I'm having a BLAST!!! :[]

I would definitely recommend this book to anyone who wants to learn how to play the piano for the very first time.

Great for beginners of all ages

I'm a piano teacher, and I love this book! I find that students as young as 5 or 6 can understand it, and my 3 and 4 year olds are usually ready for this book after a few months of preparatory "games." I use this for all my beginners who are teenagers or younger (teenagers usually don't appreciate the "monster" characters, but they get over it). I'm also thinking about starting all new adult beginners with this book, since I haven't found an adult book I like as well. Many other books start with "pre-reading" songs, which use note symbols combined with finger numbers, then move to note symbols with letter names, then finally to notes on a staff. This book uses the "begin the way you intend to continue" theory, and starts students off reading notes on the staff right away instead of confusing them by making them learn 3 different systems of notation. Other books also teach "position playing," where students may learn to read notes in C position, then notes in G position, then F position, and so on. The danger of position playing is that students just learn to recognize patterns, and some of my transfer students who had used this method can't play anything unless they are first told where to put their hands. Part One of this John Thompson series stays in one position, but right away in Part Two they have to start learning new notes and moving their hands around, so if they can't read the notes they can't play the song. I love how Part One introduces one note at a time, and simplifies the first song that uses a new note or concept, so students truly learn all of the notes and concepts but aren't overwhelmed. There are a few things I don't like about this series. Part One is very good, and I can't complain too much about it--the first few songs are very boring without the CD, but I can't find any way to make them more interesting without also making it more difficult. Part Two introduces eighth notes too early for many students, and key signatures are introduced right after sharps and flats, which confuses most students. Part Three introduces new notes early in the book, but then doesn't use them in any of the songs that follow. Overall though, it's a great series and I intend to keep using if for all of my future beginners.

Great Beginner's Piano Book

This book is wonderful to begin teaching young children the rudiments of piano playing. The children are most excited when they have to play their parts while I play the accompaniment. These 'duet' sessions have generated much joy, laughter and fun, which is what music should be to children.

If your child requires more challenging work, I would suggest using this book in tandem with another book like from Michael Aaron's series or John Thompson's "Teaching Little Fingers to Play".

About the Author

Joseph A. Edminister is Professor Emeritus of Electrical Engineering from the University of Akron in Akron, Ohio, where he also served as an assistant dean and acting dean of engineering. Edminister is a registered Professional Engineer in Ohio, a member of the bar in Ohio, and a registered patent attorney. He is also the author of Schaum's Outline of Theory and Problems of Electromagnetics.

Mahmood Nahvi, PhD, is a professor of electrical engineering at California Polytechnic State University in San Luis Obispo, California. Dr. Nahvi’s areas of special interest and expertise include network theory, control theory, communications engineering, signal processing, neural networks, adaptive control and learning in synthetic and living systems, communication and control in the central nervous system, and engineering education. In the area of engineering education, he has developed computer modules for electric circuits, signals, and systems which improve teaching and learning of the fundamentals of electrical engineering.

This is not for ece students trying to learn circuit ...

This is not for ece students trying to learn circuit analysis. For that purpose, get basic circuit analysis by the same series. This is an overall reference book for filling in all the stuff about capacitors, resistors, and amplifiers and stuff your professor skipped over in your second or third year of ece. First year ece at my college doesn't really go over much more than basic c++programming and series/parallel circuit analysis.

A little more difficult than what i would say a fundamental level truly is, but after a couple semesters of class, this book was great help once i understood the fundaments themselves. Just keep in mind if you just started, it may be difficult to comprehend and i would look elsewhere to help you through fundamental.

Over the past two decades it has been increasingly recognized that whole-body ultrasound is an invaluable tool in the critically ill.  In addition to offering rapid whole-body assessment, it has the advantage of being a bedside approach that is available at all times and can be repeated at will.  Accordingly, it permits the immediate institution of appropriate therapeutic management. Whole-Body Ultrasound in the Critically Ill is the sequel to the author¹s previous books on the subject, which were first published in French in 1992 and 2002 and in English in 2004.  This new volume reflects the latest state of knowledge by including a variety of improvements, revised definitions, and updated algorithms.  Findings in respect of individual organs are clearly presented, and a particular feature is the in-depth coverage of the lungs, traditionally regarded as an area unsuitable for ultrasound.  Throughout, the emphasis is on the practical therapeutic impact of the technique.  Its value in a variety of settings, including unexplained shock, management of hemodynamic instability, acute respiratory failure (the BLUE protocol), and the critically ill neonate, is carefully explained.  Interventional ultrasound and less widely recognized applications, such as mesenteric infarction, pneumoperitoneum, and intracranial hypertension, are also described.  Pitfalls of the technique receive due attention.  Today, whole-body ultrasound touches upon every area of critical care.  This book, from the chief pioneer in the field, shows that the technique enables critical care physicians to detect therapeutically relevant signs easily and quickly.  It will serve as an invaluable guide to the practice of this new form of visual medicine.

Excellent Book

Excellent basic Ultrasound book for ICU. You will still need hands on practice but it will cut your learning time if you read it before hand and then again once you go through a course. Dr. Mayo's course through the ACP is an excellent one.

Review of Whole Body Ultrasound in the Critically Ill

An instance where a substantial contributor, developer, and great proponent on an entire field (clinician ultrasound) is also a most talented author. This work is interesting, easy to read and most instructive. Perhaps not only new talents by physicians but new talents in authoring will be the result of this most fine work.

Author's personality permeates this book

This is an interesting book written more for enthusiasts than purists. The prose evokes the author's personality vividly. The quirks make it memorable. Of the few chapters in which I have some experience, the information is spot on- illustrating a transcontinental objectivity that is as convincing as the data.
